Entry Requirements

Admission into NKST College of Health Technology, Mkar for the 2025/2026 academic session requires candidates to meet the following general criteria. Specific subject combinations vary by program, so please check the department-specific pages for full details.

• SSCE/O'Level: Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes at SSCE (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE Ordinary Level), obtained in not more than two sittings.
• Core Subjects: The five credits must generally include:
  • English Language and Mathematics.
  • Biology/Health Science.
  • Chemistry.
  • Physics.
  (Note: Some courses may allow alternatives for certain science subjects or require only four credits—see specific course requirements for ND Health Information Management, ND Public Health Technology, ND Epidemiology and Disease Control Technology, and Dental Surgery Technician).
• JAMB/UTME: For National Diploma (ND) programs (NDCH, ND HIM, etc.), candidates must attempt the JAMB/UTME examination and score a minimum of 100 marks.
• Higher National Diploma (HND): Admission requires the general O'Level credits listed above PLUS a National Diploma (ND) in the relevant field with at least a Lower Credit from a recognized College of Health Technology.
• Successful performance in the college’s entrance examination and interview.

Compulsory Note: The minimum entry requirement is a pass in the core O'Level subjects (English, Maths, and 3 other relevant sciences) at not more than two sittings. How to Apply
